ST GEORGE'S BITTER

Poor St George, no public holiday for him nor even the celebrations St Andrew or St Patrick get (and possibly even St David in Wales). However, there are a number of pubs holding events and some like the George at Piercebridge have even invented new desserts in his honour.

So tomorrow get out and about and celebrate St George, after all he did slay a dragon for us!

Failing that drink the beer or just find out more about him from the following link:

St George's Bitter is available from:

The Old Well, Barnard Castle
The Croft Hotel, Croft
The Ship, Middlestone Village
The Cross Keys, Gainford
The Black Bull, Melsonby
The Joiners Arms, Hunwick
The Carlbury, Piercebridge
The Stanwick, Aldbrough St John
The Old Vic, Darlington
The Four Alls, Ovington
and it was also on at the Bishop Auckland Beer and Food Festival

Enjoy!
